Thank you all for your prayers Sunday while we where looking
at the house. We really needed them! It
turns out that some of the kitchen’s floorboards are rotting – so they will
need to be replaced at some time. The
current owner is also draining the washing machine’s water out into the back
lawn instead of through the piping… which means there may be major plumbing
problem. =/ In all, the house is only
worth about $130k since we must remodel everything ($160k at the very, very highest)
– not $200k (which is the asking price).
At the BBQ we met a realtor that listed the house a year ago
for the same widow. She told us that
the widow is trying to sell the house at the high price so she can buy a new
home in Boise and still pay off her 20k new car. This realtor listed it for 180k back then and tried to tell the
widower that the price was too high….
At this point, we are just going to lay things before the
Lord and wait to see what He does. He may
have another home in mind – I don’t know… I’m just trying to keep from
stressing out. Especially since I have to do some work on our house in Boise
before we sell it. If anyone is in the
area, we are having a work party Saturday at 10am. Food provided! =D
